In November I told him that he should write a blog post every other day for the month of December & then post a link to it on his Facebook page. I was insistent that he do this and didn't let it go until he agreed to do it. My hope for him was that it would increase traffic to his website Melee Comics. Also, he had been saying that no one ever reads his blog and I told him it was because 1) He rarely posted anything & 2) He didn't promote it in any way. So, my suggestion to him to post every other day was not to be bossy but to help him with his perceived problem.
He suggested that I blog every other day in the month of January & at first I shrugged it off. I don't have any endeavor (creative or otherwise) to which a blog would contribute success so I see my blog as a sort of exercise in vanity. Ben suggested I do it anyway as a sort of outlet and that he had found it to be a rewarding task. He is holding the whole "I do what you tell me to do" over my head as leverage (I'm still not granting his premise) and when I suggested I was going to put this post off until tomorrow he gave me a disapproving look and said, "You do whatever you want to do". What kind of taskmaster is that?! Ben is a sweet, sweet softie (especially when it comes to me) so I think I will have to exercise some serious self control if I want to make him proud of me & actually see this challenge through.
So, in the month of January, expect to read about my Joyce Carol Oates McTotes reading extravaganza, possibly a little Harry Potter, maybe The Wire, my cats, my obsession with Gilmore Girls, I might tell you what I had for breakfast sometimes, I might cross the line into some really female territory & talk about periods & boobs, I will most definitely talk about how much I love Ben and I will most definitely be detailing Ben's antics...because he suggested that I do just that. I've taken this to mean that he has granted me "carte blanche" on this blog when it comes to him and you can bet your boots that means there will be videos. ::wink wink, nudge nudge, grin::
Yeah, this definitely seems like an exercise in vanity.
And with that, here are two videos of things I find adorable:
